Jennifer Witcofski Named 2025–2026 NeASFAA Rookie of the Year

March 20, 2026

NeASFAA is proud to announce that Jennifer Witcofski has been selected as the recipient of the 2025–2026 Rookie of the Year Award.

The Rookie of the Year Award recognizes a newer member of the association who has already begun making meaningful contributions to NeASFAA and its membership. It highlights individuals who demonstrate initiative, engagement, and a clear commitment to supporting the financial aid profession's mission early in their involvement.

This year’s recipient embodies that spirit from the very start. Jennifer Witcofski has demonstrated readiness to step in, contribute to, and support the association's work with both purpose and enthusiasm. Her early involvement signals not only dedication but the promise of a rising leader within the profession.

Witcofski has quickly immersed herself in association work, bringing energy and a fresh perspective to her contributions. She has actively participated in the Professional Development and Research Committee (PDRC), supporting initiatives that strengthen training and growth opportunities for financial aid professionals across the state. In addition, she stepped forward as a willing candidate for Treasurer, reflecting both courage and a commitment to serve.

The final award this evening is the Rookie of the Year. This award is given to a person in the association who has begun making contributions to the association and its membership. This year's recipient has shown a readiness to get involved in and support the work of NeASFAA, reflecting the spirit of this award and the promise of a rising leader in our profession. This person has jumped into association work with energy and enthusiasm, contributing to the PDRC, and stepped forward as a willing candidate for Treasurer. Please join me in congratulating Jennifer Witcofski as this year’s Rookie of the Year.

Jennifer Witcofski’s recognition is a celebration of what happens when passion meets action. Her contributions, though early in her journey, are already making an impact, and her path forward reflects the strength and future of the financial aid community.
