Beth Sisk of College of Saint Mary Receives 2025–2026 NeASFAA Bob Minturn Special Recognition Award

NeASFAA proudly announces that Beth Sisk of College of Saint Mary has been named the recipient of the 2025–2026 Bob Minturn Special Recognition Award.

Named in honor of Bob Minturn, who served as Director of Financial Aid at Creighton University from January 1971 to August 1972, this award is presented annually to a NeASFAA member in recognition of outstanding leadership and service to the association. It celebrates individuals whose contributions strengthen the organization and advance the financial aid profession through advocacy, commitment, and action.

This year’s recipient exemplifies those qualities in every sense. Beth Sisk has strengthened NeASFAA in countless ways through her unwavering dedication, steady leadership, and deep commitment to the profession. Her work reflects not just participation, but purpose.

Sisk has served the association in multiple leadership roles, including President, where she guided NeASFAA with clarity and vision. Her advocacy efforts have extended beyond the association, most notably through her testimony before the Nebraska Legislature’s Education Committee, where she represented financial aid professionals and students with both conviction and credibility.

Her service continues through her role as Treasurer, where she has provided consistent stewardship and support to ensure the association’s ongoing success. Across every role she has held, Sisk has demonstrated a commitment to advocacy, service, and the advancement of the profession that reflects the very spirit of this award.

I am pleased to announce the recipient of the Bob Minturn Special Recognition Award. Bob served as Director of Financial Aid at Creighton University from January 1971 to August 1972. This award is given annually to a NeASFAA member in recognition of the person's leadership activities. This year's recipient has strengthened our association in countless ways. This person's commitment to advocacy, service, and the advancement of our profession reflects the very spirit of this award. This person has served as President, has represented our members with clarity and conviction, most notably testifying before the Legislature's Education Committee on behalf of the association, and has served and continues to serve as the association’s treasurer. Please join me in congratulating Beth Sisk on this well-deserved honor.
