From the President.....

Hopefully as we all returned home after a great 40th Anniversary Spring Conference . . your desk wasn’t piled too high with work to get back to . . or even worse a message to call your President ASAP regarding your preferred lender list! Perhaps my hopes are too much to expect. But nonetheless, I must believe that you are at least refreshed from the Conference.
Truly that is what NeASFAA is all about. We had the chance to see each other and most especially encourage one another as the headlines kept pouring in! There is no reason for us to stop “encouraging” one another. We want the dialogue to continue. Here’s some ways we intend to keep the conversation going . . .
- We'll use the NeASFAA list serve to generate discussions (like Direct to Consumer Loans) and post important information.
- We'll revitalize the NeASFAA web site. You'll want to check it frequently as the content will change as often as possible and as news warrants it!
- If you are facing a tough a situation with a student or working through a new policy or procedure . . call a NeASFAA colleague or even your sector representative. Ask them for some input on your situation. Sometimes that is all you need to confirm a decision you were struggling over and discover a new solution that had not occurred to you.
Your new Board of Directors will be meeting shortly to map out our plan for the NeASFAA year ahead. We'll keep you updated on the results of that meeting once it has occurred.
